We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification and a specialist interest in medical cannabis to join our forward-thinking clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of cannabinoid-based care in the UK.
As an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist, you will assess, prescribe, and monitor cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs) for a range of eligible patients. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you'll use your clinical expertise to support safe and effective treatment plans while adhering to UK regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct remote and/or in-person consultations with patients eligible for CBMPs
- Prescribe medical cannabis in line with MHRA and GMC/NICE guidance
- Monitor treatment outcomes and make evidence-based adjustments to prescriptions
- Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure full compliance with controlled drug regulations and clinic protocols
- Contribute to research, audit, and the development of clinical pathways in medical cannabis care
- GPhC registered Pharmacist (essential)
- Independent Prescriber qualification (essential)
- Proven experience in prescribing or dispensing cannabis-based medicinal products
