Consumer Additions are pleased to be partnered with a high-growth premium retail brand who are looking for a Head of E-Commerce. The Head of eCommerce will be responsible for leading online commercial performance and enhancing the end-to-end digital customer journey. This senior role will set the strategic direction for the website’s design, content, and optimisation, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver an engaging and effective online experience.

The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and strong expertise in digital commerce and user experience, with a proven ability to drive growth through data-led decision-making and customer-focused improvements. This role also involves managing a lean team and collaborating across departments to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Digital User Experience: Define and implement a strategic roadmap to enhance the digital customer journey, ensuring the site aligns with brand values and supports discovery, consideration, and conversion. Focus on user-centric improvements including personalisation, loyalty, and retention.
  • Sales & Performance Metrics: Manage day-to-day trading activities and performance metrics, using analytics and customer insight to optimise conversion and customer value.
  • Website Development & Optimisation: Lead the web development roadmap and budget, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver updates that improve site functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Omnichannel Integration: Drive initiatives to create a seamless experience across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency in service and brand presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and grow a capable ecommerce team, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key internal teams across Technology, Marketing, Creative, Product, and Retail to ensure alignment and coherence in digital execution and brand delivery.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a robust eCommerce strategy aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Trend Awareness & Innovation: Monitor ecommerce and brand experience trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and staying ahead in a fast-moving digital landscape.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience within a "Head of" or "Senior" E-Commerce role, managing a team. Ideally within a premium retail or lifestyle brand.
  • Leading strategy across UX/Customer Journey as well as managing commercial trading.
  • Working within the omni-channel consumer space.
  • Deep passion for creating exceptional customer experiences with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of website UX/UI principles and their commercial impact.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms, digital marketing, and website optimisation techniques.
  • Creative vision that can translate a unique brand identity into effective digital experiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and inspiring high-performing teams.
