We’re looking for a Software Technology Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative technology solutions that drive strategic change and enhance user experience across our organisation utilising Microsoft technologies.

About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership role within our Technology team. You’ll be responsible for shaping and managing a coherent, efficient, and secure solutions ecosystem that supports our strategic goals. From overseeing solution architecture and systems development to championing data-driven decision-making, you’ll ensure our technology landscape is future-ready and user-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team of Microsoft solutions, software and data specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Own and evolve the organisation’s software portfolio, ensuring robust architecture and seamless integration across systems.
  • Drive the development and implementation of scalable, secure, and user-centric digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to co-create solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Champion data architecture and insights, supporting the journey from operational reporting to predictive analytics and AI.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in solution delivery, including testing, documentation, and governance.
  • Set strategy and deliver data driven projects including data migration.

About You

You’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and people leadership. You’re passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and improve experiences for users and stakeholders alike.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong background in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics, SQL, SharePoint).
  • Proven experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale, organisation-wide solutions.
  • Experience in data architecture transformation and leveraging data for strategic insights.
  • Skilled in working with suppliers and partners to deliver integrated solutions.

Desirable

  • Experience combining agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Technical project leadership and governance knowledge.
  • Proficiency in diagramming tools such as MS Visio.
  • Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • An understanding of charity, public sector or a social purpose environment world is a plus, but not essential.
