Are you an experienced Architect with a passion for creating exceptional spaces? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join a dynamic property developer in Edinburgh, working on high-quality residential developments that seamlessly blend historic architecture with modern design.
As a Design Manager or Design Coordinator, you will play a key role in the development process, overseeing the design and delivery of residential projects from conception through to completion. Your expertise will ensure that every aspect of design is executed to the highest standards, meeting both aesthetic and functional requirements. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across the project team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the design process, ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with the client's vision. Your role will involve coordinating the design team and external architects, reviewing technical drawings, and providing direction on design-related issues. You will also be expected to monitor the quality of work throughout the construction phase, making sure that the final product meets the high expectations of both the client and the end-user.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an Architecture private practice with a background in managing the design and construction of large scale residential flatted developments (new build or conversion) or PBSA. You will have a strong understanding of architectural design principles and technical detailing, as well as experience working with contractors and other consultants to ensure that design concepts are successfully implemented. Your ability to lead teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and resolve issues quickly and effectively will be key to your success in this role.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be confident in liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring that all parties are kept informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
