Quality Personnel is currently seeking a Purchasing Administrator for our client on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of service and support within the purchasing function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to quickly integrate into an established team, while also contributing to process improvement and supplier relationships., " Daily review of buyer workbench using the ERP system
" Raising, maintaining, and expediting Purchase Orders (stock and non-stock)
" Preparing pricing quotes for various departments (design, sales, intercompany, and incoming freight)
" Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
" Managing part parameters, stocking levels, and price lists on ERP system
" Mitigating and notifying cost increases
" Creating part numbers as needed
" Preparing and reviewing supplier KPIs to improve delivery performance and stock availability
" Reviewing and maintaining departmental training resources
Key Performance Criteria:
" Meeting and adhering to set KPIs and performance targets., " You will have a handover period at the beginning of the contract to ensure a smooth transition, as well as a period at the end for knowledge transfer.
" Experience: Previous experience in purchasing administration or a similar role.
" Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (Epicor is an advantage).
" Qualification: Aspiring to study CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
" Knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering drawings is an advantage.
" Personal Attributes:
