As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a key role in driving people-focused initiatives across designated business areas, ensuring alignment with the overall HR Strategy. Acting as a trusted partner, you will support managers in fostering a positive and high-performing work environment, overseeing essential HR processes, and championing a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. From employee relations and talent development to recruitment and payroll, you’ll be at the heart of shaping a workplace where people thrive.

What you’ll do

  • Employee Relations & Business Partnering
    • Coaching and partnering with managers to support effective individual and team development and operations including performance management processes.
    • Acting as first point of contact on all people related matters for key stakeholders.
    • Drive and coordinate annual people processes across the functions; appraisal reviews, salary reviews, talent bonus calculation and payment.
    • Partner with Functional leaders on any OD requirements for their functions to drive and optimise efficient ways of working.
    • Work with Functional Leaders on engagement plans; work with HR on company wide engagement roll out.
    • Long term sickness management including Occupational Health Referrals.
    • Owning the maternity / paternity process for all staff, including conducting the maternity meetings, answering all queries, and updating payroll with payments, dates and any KIT days; liaising with the HR Assistant to ensure the relevant paperwork is processed.
    • Conduct, and support with all Onboarding, Probation and Exit Interviews.
  • Recruitment
    • Management of Company LinkedIn pages and strategy, working on the EVP to drive candidates to Hush.
    • Own the recruitment and selection process for allocated roles through to hire and onboarding, always ensuring fair hiring practices.
    • Interviewing with business groups as required, coaching hiring managers.
    • Representing Hush in the appropriate way to all prospective candidates.
  • Training
    • Overseeing the training budget and plan and organise mandatory training for all employees, including managing the relationships with 3rd party providers.
    • Design and delivery of training for core HR trainings – with HR team.
    • Finding functional training solutions for technical training needs.
  • Payroll
    • Management of the relationship and flow of information to and from a 3rd Party Payroll Provider for the monthly payroll for both permanent and temporary employees. This includes completing the payroll sheets, producing monthly sickness reports, ensuring we have collated all new joiner and leaver data, checked the data and working with the Retail Manager on timesheets.
    • Provision of People data and monthly reporting for Board packs and to drive targeted action both across the company and within functions (ie. Attrition).
    • Management of ad hoc HMRC documentation (P11Ds, P60s, P45s).
  • Additional and Ad Hoc duties
    • Checking and approval of company expenses.
    • Aiding with staff events and communications calendar.
    • Aiding with annual intern intake.
    • Aiding with apprenticeships.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with strong IT skills to streamline HR processes.
