We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in working with sheet/plate or Bar metal. The CNC Cutter / Plate saw operator / Warehouse Operator is responsible for executing various tasks within the warehouse, with a primary focus on plate saw cutting and overall stock management of this department. As the person working on plate saw Cutting your primary focus is on materials required to be cut on the plate saw. This role demands meticulous attention to detail to maintain stock levels, ensure timely completion of orders, and effectively communicate with the Warehouse Team Leader regarding all matters related to the plate saw. Additionally, you are expected to fulfil the duties of a general warehouse operator as needed including CNC bar cutting and contributing to the overall operational efficiency and versatility of the workforce. Responsibilities * Plate Saw Cutting and CNC Bar Cutting Ownership: * Communicate any maintenance or supply needs to prevent interruptions in the Plate saw cutting process to the Warehouse Manager * Execute picking, cutting, and despatching tasks according to established procedures. * Report progress on orders to the Warehouse Manager, ensuring all tasks are completed within specified time frames and handover notes/ instruction to the Warehouse Manager to pick up in the morning. * Maintain a clean and organised workspace to facilitate smooth operations and ensure compliance with safety standards. * Support stock management efforts by participating in stock counts and ensure stock is put away in the correct location. * Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve warehouse objectives and resolve any issues that may arise. * Operating Counterbalance FLT to move material on and off Saws and into warehouse. Experience * Previous experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role is required. * Proficiency in working with plate or bar metal is highly desirable. * Competence in using hand tools effectively and safely. * hold a counterbalance FLT certification If you have the necessary skills and experience to excel as a Saw Operator, we encourage you to apply and become part of our client’s dedicated team
