Working Model:

- Encouraging face to face working for teams as we know how important this is for social workers and all meetings with children and family take place face to face.
Experience:
- Ability to engage with young people.
- Experience of acting in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth experience of some form of either youth work or the supervision of offenders (through employment or voluntary).
- Ability to apply rules and comply with procedures and standards.
- In-depth knowledge of the Youth Justice System.
- Familiarity with and ability to understand the legislative framework for Youth Justice.
- Report writing - needed for a wide range of audiences including the judiciary.
- Ability to deliver support in the non-negotiable settings.
- Ability to complete detailed assessments and formulate effective supervision plans.
- Ability to represent the YOS and the Local Authority in the criminal courts and within panels and professional meetings.

Working location and arrangements (if not working from home): Town Hall, Main Road, Romford RM1 3AR. Our main Town Hall campus benefits from excellent transport links via car or public transport. Our offices are located centrally in Romford, only 18 minutes from London Liverpool Street Station and easily accessible via the M25, A12, A406 and A127.
