Title: Inside Sales Specialist – Life Sciences (Fully Remote) – Life Science

And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of., The team at Lonza is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist to join their field team in the UK. You will own the full sales cycle and will be responsible for the entire range of Lonza Cell Biology and Transfection product groups. You will be responsible for increasing sales by selling our end-to-end solutions to our partners within the Pharma & Biotech sector and their collaborators., * Delivers sales targets and manages the sales funnel from new opportunity generation through closing.

  • Manages all sales activities in the designated territory (identification, acquisition, expansion, and renewal).

  • Prospects new customers and accounts within the territory, with a focus on industrial customers (pharma, biotech, CROs).

  • Develops product knowledge capabilities to position readily available catalog products as well as custom-manufactured cell and media products.

  • Organize, plan, and schedule time to provide optimum and effective account and territory coverage.

  • Manage interactions proactively to drive customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinates support resources within Lonza to meet customer needs.

  • Share knowledge about applications and trends with the team to coach & achieve high team performance.

  • Degree in Life Sciences. MSc or PhD degrees are an advantage.

  • Strong communication and solution-oriented skills.

  • Working understanding of cell culture and assay setup. Experience in using or selling tools within a Business Development environment for in vitro models (e.g. Cell Biology, DMPK) or tools such as gene/cell editing is an advantage.

  • Proven track record in expanding and winning new accounts in corporate accounts (pharma, biotechs, CROs).

  • Good understanding of the Drug Discovery workflow, both from a Business and a Scientific perspective, is key.

  • Possess the ability to work autonomously from a home-based office.

  • Fluency in English is a must, and a second European language is advantageous.
