Location: Westminster, London

Day Rate: £120-£140 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, ASAP start through July 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Commutable from: Paddington, Marylebone, Camden, Kensington, Fulham

The Opportunity

Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Westminster to appoint a HLTA to support a Year 3 class. The role starts immediately and will continue through to the end of the next academic year.

You will work closely with the class teacher, delivering lessons during PPA time and providing small group instruction throughout the week. The class is enthusiastic and well-behaved, and the school is seeking someone who brings creativity, consistency, and strong behaviour management to the role.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Level 4 qualified HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant with a proven track record of lesson delivery, classroom support, and independent session planning.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading class sessions during teacher PPA time
  • Supporting the teacher with daily classroom support and pupil engagement
  • Delivering structured interventions and small group instruction
  • Contributing to lesson planning and resource preparation
  • Assisting with behaviour management and daily routines
  • Supporting with progress monitoring and record keeping

What We’re Looking For

  • HLTA qualification (Level 4) desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience leading lessons or providing PPA cover
  • Confident managing behaviour and supporting varied learning needs
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Clear communication and excellent teamworking skills
