Job Description

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a busy electrical equipment manufacturer in Telford to recruit a skilled Panel Wirer with the ability to understand electrical drawings to wire their range of equipment. This is a 12 week temp – perm role with good long-term options. It comes with a good hourly rate and excellent working conditions.

In this Wirer role, you will work days Monday to Friday with an early finish on Friday. You will work in a supportive team environment, working to drawings and following work instructions as prepared by the applications team.

As a Panel Wirer at this Telford-based workshop, here are some duties you can expect to carry out:

Correctly interpreting drawings and ensuring that the correct components are available
Wiring back plates to a high standard to ensure consistency in how looms are prepared and installed
Liaising with engineering dept regarding any build issues
Supporting test and inspection of panels

To apply for this Panel Wirer position, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

Preparation and assembly of wiring looms
Control panel wiring, machine panel wiring or switchgear wiring
Electrical installation industrial installation
Copper work and installation would be advantageous
Electrical qualifications are advantageous

You will have current or recent experience as wireman, electrical fitter, control panel wirer, LV switchgear wirer

In return:

£14.50 – 15/hr working a good shift with very early finish on a Friday.
Overtime paid at time and half in the week
When perm you will have 12% pension, 33 days holiday and full sick pay
