Global Quality and Compliance Director – UK REMOTE – to £100k plus package. We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Compliance Director with a background in the Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical sector and a strong grasp of GMP regulations. This role involves managing a large pharmaceutical account globally, requiring a confident diplomat who can effectively communicate and develop solutions to comply with GMP standards. The position includes travel and offers superb career progression. Job Purpose The Global Quality Compliance Lead is part of the Pharma Quality & Compliance Group, responsible for global oversight of Quality and Compliance across CLIENT’s Human Health and Animal Health divisions. This high-profile role provides exposure to senior management and unique opportunities for learning and career progression. The Pharma Quality & Compliance group supports regional QC teams dedicated to specific contracts/clients, conducts audits, regulatory intelligence, and manages the global Quality Management System for the Pharma business. Accountabilities – Client Focused Manage quality and compliance activities and oversee GxP compliance aspects for CLIENT globally. Perform audits of all GxP services provided to CLIENT. Investigate root causes, analyze, and implement corrective and preventative actions for GxP deficiencies. Influence and coach senior management to ensure robust quality systems are in place. Present quality topics to senior account and CLIENT management teams through governance meetings. Develop strong working relationships with key CLIENT personnel. Oversee global Quality and Compliance staff on the account. Conduct site visits to implement quality systems and ensure regulatory expectations are met. Advise CLIENT on changes in legislation impacting the business. Conduct training in GxP and QMS topics for operations and management teams. Support operational and performance management deliverables related to quality and GxP KPI targets. Ensure quality and compliance oversight of vendor-delivered GxP services. Execute processes in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., QMS/documentation control, change control, risk management). Work across the global portfolio as part of the CLIENT senior leadership team. Accountabilities – Above Account Focused Serve as a member of the Quality Assurance Leadership Team (QALT) for the Global Quality & Compliance organization. Execute special audits as required by senior executives to investigate specific issues. Assist in the management and continuous improvement of the Global Quality Management System. Perform investigations and special projects as required by the Global Quality & Compliance Executive. Assist business development teams in securing new business. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Successful CLIENT and regulatory audits of GxP activities. Timely reporting and investigation of GxP quality-related incidents. Added value through efficient, standardized systems and processes. Good team player in an international environment. Flexibility to perform ad hoc assignments. Continuous development of technical and business skills. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Essential Solid grounding and practical experience in the pharmaceutical environment, particularly in Quality functions. In-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical regulated (GxP) environments. Substantial auditing background. Ability to write effective reports and communications. Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and analyze information. Ability to apply Quality Risk Management principles. Excellent communication skills, recognizing cultural values. Fluent in English; other relevant languages are an advantage. GxP Quality professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior positions. Extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Desirable Clear thinker with determination and energy, good planning abilities, well-organized, and seeking perfection. Assertive yet personable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Influencer willing to lead by example and work on own initiative, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
