Asset Delivery – Engineering Maintenance Projects are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. The Engineering Maintenance Projects Team support the business in several key areas. Most important of which is to ensure any activity we technically plan adheres to current safety requirements. To allow this to happen the Maintenance Project Engineers will support most non-routine/complex activities by the provision of technical planning and so documenting the key deliverables and safety requirements for any work to be undertaken. The current strategy is to reduce reactive repairs and move towards a more proactive approach. To support this our Maintenance Project Engineers will create small, focused campaigns of maintenance which may be a combination of routine and non-routine, proactive and reactive tasks. Often because of an aging asset base our Maintenance Project Engineer’s will have to use their engineering knowledge and experience to define the most effective solution based on factors such as cost and mean time to repair. Where the repair falls outside of the teams scope the Maintenance Project Engineers will advise on the scope of potential Capital requirements. Where you fit in: As our Maintenance Project Engineer you will own the project and liaise with the key stakeholders to assure the efficient delivery of the work activity. Technically plan like for like or like for similar repairs to be completed by YW Craft or external framework contractors. Advising our internal customers when they should impliment an MOC process. Technically plan and coordinate small programs of proactive work as a campaign ensuring all enabling activities are in place prior to resource mobilisation. Technically plan and document the key deliverables required to facilitate effective delivery of a task. Undertake the duties as defined within YW management procedures regarding Control of Work. Ensure the quality of information provided meets requirements and report non-conformance into our company performance excellence hub. Interrogate Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (such as SAP), IT and electronic data storage systems to understand the history, specification, and functional design of equipment to promote a first-time solution for any given repair. Support the business as a Technical Planning subject matter expert during periods of escalation, such as extreme weather conditions. Identify technical solutions by understanding the cause and effect on poorly performing assets. What skills & qualifications you will need: MEICA based apprenticeship or equivalent. (ONC/HNC/BTEC/NVQ in Electrical, ICA or Mechanical Engineering) A Full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points with no pending convictions. Experience of working to Health and Safety Management Systems. Experience of working with automated processes, You will also benefit from having: Experience of working at height, confined space entry, Hot work Experience of working in an automated manufacturing or process environment. Practical experience of SCADA/RTS systems. Previous experience in a commercially orientated and, or regulated environment.
