Exciting new opportunity for a long-term employment opportunity working with our client based in Caistor as a Production Operator. This is a temp-to-perm role with the aim to gain a full-time contract with our client. Working in a supportive environment where hard work is recognised, rewarded and progression is achievable. This is a guaranteed 4 on 4 off shift pattern which does include weekend work and there are overtime opportunities to boost earnings, payable at x1.5.

  • 4 on 4 off day shift, 05:30 to 18:00.
  • £12.21 per hour.
  • Additional £2.00 p/h for weekends (£14.21 p/h on Saturday and Sunday as part of normal shift)
  • Opportunity for overtime at peak times at x1.5.
  • Average 40.25 hours per week.

About the role: As a member of the Production Team, a Production Operator enables your lines and the rest of the factory to run efficiently and meet different customer’s needs to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out all duties in line with training, food safety and health and safety guidance.
  • Preparing poultry meat products including, deboning, mincing and shaping products.
  • Preparing, weighing, assembling and packing products ready for despatch.
  • Checking, grading and labelling products.
  • Manual handling which may include lifting equipment and products up to 15kg.

What we are looking for:

  • Good understanding of English and basic numeracy skills.
  • Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to work tasks.
  • Communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience within food production would be an advantage but not essential as all training is provided.
