Join Our Client as a Senior Waste Assessor

Full-time | £30,000–£35,000 (DOE)
Are you an experienced waste classification professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Senior Waste Assessor to join our dedicated STF Operations division.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the assessment and classification of waste materials destined for treatment at our specialist facilities. While primarily office-based, occasional UK travel will be required to collect and test samples from various sites.
What You’ll Do
- Assess and classify solid and hazardous waste in line with WM3 guidance
- Collect and analyse samples to determine suitability for treatment
- Provide expert technical advice to internal teams and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Dynamics CRM (training can be provided)
- Collaborate with a small, focused team and report directly to the Waste Manager
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in waste assessment, ideally with hazardous waste
- Deep understanding of hazardous waste regulations and treatment protocols
- A confident, proactive communicator who can manage multiple priorities
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work (minimal but essential)
Desirable:
- Background in brownfield remediation or contaminated land
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
