Job Title: IT Support Team Lead

Location: Knutsford, Cheshire

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000

Excellent opportunity to join and lead the IT support team of a very well-established and expanding company based in Knutsford, Cheshire.

They have a highly successful, rapidly growing team with 3 direct reports within the tech support team (2nd line). They also respond to less than 100 tickets a day collectively across the team and around 10 are closed per day.

The role will be based in the office three days a week with two days at home.

The Role

You’ll help manage escalations, guide junior engineers, and ensure the performance and reliability of our hybrid cloud infrastructure, which supports customers across financial services and other regulated industries.

What are we looking for:

We are looking for someone with a couple of years\’ experience in leading a 2nd line team that has remained hands on and has a good grounding in the following:

• Strong skills in Windows Server, Linux (RedHat), Active Directory, networking, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• 2+ years in technical support or infrastructure roles, ideally supporting compliance-sensitive or financial environments.
• Microsoft Azure
