About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer with around 1–2 years of UK experience who’s looking to take that next step. You will be joining a collaborative, well-established team, working on a mix of commercial, residential, and heritage projects, gaining valuable experience on live jobs and learning directly from chartered engineers. This role is ideal for someone who’s ready to start edging toward intermediate level – confident, capable, and keen to keep learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting senior engineers with the design of structural elements in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Producing technical drawings, reports, and calculations
- Attending internal design reviews and client meetings
- Working closely with architects, contractors, and the rest of the engineering team
- Gradually taking on more responsibility as your experience grows
Required skills and experience:
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 1 year’s structural engineering experience in a UK consultancy
- Some knowledge of UK building codes and materials
- Familiar with design software such as Tekla, TEDDS, or similar
- A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
