Established in 1983, Cobra Tool & Die Ltd. is a leading provider of quality toolmaking and precision engineering services. We supply a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, automotive, independent entrepreneurs, and trade moulders. Our services encompass Plastic Injection Mould tool production and repairs, CNC Milling, Wire Erosion, Spark Erosion, Laser Welding, Product Design and Development, and Rapid Repair Service.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Portsmouth. The Toolmaker will be responsible for constructing and repairing precision tools, performing CNC Milling, Wire Erosion, and Spark Erosion. Daily tasks will include:

  • Interpreting technical drawings
  • Working with various metals
  • Ensuring quality standards
  • Participating in product design and development projects
  • Maintaining equipment and tools
  • Providing rapid repair services when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CNC Turning and Milling, Wire Erosion, and Spark Erosion
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Skilled in Plastic Injection Mould tool production and repairs
  • Experience in Mould tool assembly and servicing
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Product Design and Development processes
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant certifications or apprenticeship in Toolmaking or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in the engineering or manufacturing industry
  • Clean driving license
