For Companies We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our clients Maintenance Team, based in Stoke-on-Trent. As a Mechanical Fitter you'll be responsible for maintaining, overhauling and refurbishing rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain / overhaul and refurbish rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification. This includes but is not limited to fault finding, rectification work, damage repairs, modification and work arising.
- To ensure that stock levels are kept and stock is stored correctly.
- To order / reorder stock as required.
- To carry out damage reports / overload inspections on behalf of the customer and provide all documentation including photographs when required.
- Complete all relevant documentation relating to all work carried out on any rolling stock vehicle.
- To correctly file / store all rolling stock documentation.
- May be required to work at other outstation depots.
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.00 - 16.30, overtime on a Friday 7.00 until 11.00.
Qualifications:
- You must have a pro-active approach to working with good organisation skills.
- Demonstrated experience within the maintenance sector.
- Qualifications within an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
- Rail industry experience would also be an advantage.
Salary: £27,948.00 per annum
