Our client is a global, market leader in the design, development and manufacturing of drinks dispensing products. On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a skilled and detail-focused CAD Engineer. This role involves producing and managing design engineering data from initial concept through to production handover using 3D CAD software. The successful candidate will also support research and development activities aimed at enhancing existing products and designing innovative new solutions. This is a temporary position, lasting 6 months. Working hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-1pm based on their site in Chorley.
Package:
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro-rata)
- Up to £40,000 (pro-rata)

Responsibilities:
- Produce CAD models, drawings and assemblies for new and existing products
- To produce fully tolerance engineering drawings and up issue existing engineering drawings
- To produce bills of materials
- To develop and create jigs & production aids
- To create product approval documents and product visuals
- To produce 3D printer prototypes
Requirements:
- Experience in developing cast metal parts, injection moulded plastic parts and sheet metal
- HND / degree qualified in the relevant subject
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product design engineering
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD SolidWorks software
- Understand different materials and manufacturing processes
- Good understanding of creating, developing and prototyping new products
- Live within commutable distance Chorley
