Brook Street are recruiting for a Responsible Individual on behalf of our client, an established children's service in South Wales who offer tailored support to children and young people with complex needs. The role and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing management of the services and ensuring the services are safe, well run and comply with regulations
  • Ensuring Managers receive appropriate supervision, support and training
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are up to date, consistent with statement of purpose and relevant legislation and national guidance
  • Ensuring clear lines of accountability, delegation and responsibility between the RI and the manager
  • Directors are informed about service quality, safety and effectiveness
  • Ensure there is a strong focus on individual wellbeing outcomes
  • Ensuring systems are in place to assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of the service
  • Reporting on the adequacy of the resources available to provide the service
  • To develop a positive culture and ensure that the service users have a voice
  • Emphasise a person-centred approach, promoting independence and active participation in decision-making

Essentials for the role:

  • QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) / Leadership and Management
  • Live within reasonable driving distance to the services
  • Existing RI/Operation director/Manager experience within Childcare
