Main Requirements of Role
Due to retirement, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed individual to fulfil a key role in the continued growth and profitability of their company. Your principal function will be to lead and account manage the growth of profitable chemical and related sales through developing further relationships and revenue streams of chemical and janitorial products within the existing customer base, as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities. The company has existing strong relationships with a wide variety of customers and clients across Food Manufacturing, Brewing, Agriculture, Local Authorities and other sectors. You will be required to manage both customer expectations and relationships from enquiry to delivery, and to understand the needs and the business challenges our customers face and provide compelling solutions to resolve them – all with the aim of maintaining and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Retaining their existing customer base and expanding the range of products sold to them.
- Seeking out and obtaining new customers for the company’s products and services and building strong, positive and profitable long-term relationships with these customers.
- Determining products necessary to profitably meet the needs of customers and deliver continuing business growth.
- Provision of technical advice and support to customers.
- In conjunction with the Sales Director, overseeing of the sales function of the team to identify and apply opportunities for further profitable growth.
- In conjunction with administrative staff, ensure the administrative, supporting, financial and reporting requirements of the company are met.
- Liaison with other company staff to share knowledge and opportunities to the overall benefit of the company.
- Continuing to align business processes so that as far as relevant and practicable similar things are done in the same way across the company.
- To assist the Directors in meeting the ongoing needs of the company and other matters which may arise from time to time.
