As part of their growth in training services, we are recruiting three experienced Training & Development Specialists to support the rollout of TRINITY - a new wide-area Battlefield Telecommunications system for command communications across land and air.

Role Overview

You will provide training design, courseware development, and training delivery for the TRINITY system, collaborating closely with BAE Systems' training team ideal for instructors with expertise in wide-area comms systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Design & Documentation in line with Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT), including:
  • Formal Training Statements
  • Individual & Collective Training Objectives
  • Assessment Strategy & Specification
  • Learning Scalar & Learning Specifications
  • Training Material Development:
    • Presentations, Workbooks, Self-Study Tutorials, Instructor Guides, Student Materials
    • Audio/Visual Aids, Online Learning Courses, Quick Start Guides, Aide Memoires
  • Training Delivery:
    • Deliver instructor-led sessions and conversion courses
    • Support pilot courses and testing
    • Collaborate with engineering teams during test and trial phases
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all company health, safety and environmental procedures

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Instructional experience in a military setting (ideally within the last 5 years)
    • Strong knowledge of Communications and Information Systems (CIS)
    • Competence in configuring, operating, and maintaining a wide range of CIS equipment
    • Experience in DSAT methodology and training development
    • Completion (or ability to complete) a DCTS Defence Instructional Techniques course or equivalent
    • Previous experience as a MoD Communications Engineer Class 1 or equivalent

    Preferred Background

    • Military personnel preferred:
    • Army: Senior NCOs (Sergeant or above)
    • RAF: Trade Group 4 Engineers (Corporal or above)
    • Navy: Communications Engineers with HNC/HND
  • Candidates from a non-military background with relevant HNC/HND qualifications and wide-area systems experience will also be considered.
