Requirement Engineer

Requirement Engineer – Automotive Sector Join Expleo\’s dynamic engineering team in supporting one of our key clients within the automotive sector. We are currently looking for a Requirement Engineer to take on a pivotal role in an active and high-impact project focused on next-generation mobility solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise into a forward-thinking, fast-paced environment where your work will directly shape innovative vehicle technologies. This is a contract role based in Preston. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage system-level requirements across the full V-cycle. * Translate customer, legislative, and internal requirements into clear technical specifications. * Ensure traceability, compliance, and control of requirements through various project phases. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, and systems engineering. * Align all work to ISO26262 and other relevant engineering standards (training can be provided). Ideal Candidate Profile * 5-10 years of experience in requirements or systems engineering roles. * Skilled in tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or similar requirements management software. * Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management abilities. * Background in the automotive sector is preferred, but candidates from aerospace, defence, or rail industries are also encouraged to apply. * Proactive, enthusiastic, and a team player with a desire to contribute meaningfully from day one.
