Job Description The Role As part of the role you will: Manage DE teams to deliver data solutions for clients Lead in architecting data landscapes that reflect data strategies Understand and translate end-user requirements into designs and delivery plans for effective data solutions Design, develop, execute frameworks for managing the build of pipelines using cloud technologies Manage teams in supporting technical implementations and resolve data quality issues within given SLAs Manage the development of best practice within the Data Engineering practice Take a lead role in mentoring and developing others in the team and inspire them through commitment and enthusiasm Work with Azure team leads to ensure best practice implementations Build an inclusive team culture focusing on service excellence and exceptional performance Manage the development and maintenance of T&Ts documentation and processes Qualifications Skills required for this role are: Proven Experience working and managing teams working in: Databricks Azure Data Factory Azure Data Lake Azure Synapse (and data warehousing approaches) or SSIS Azure Analysis Services DataOps and Data Quality tools such as Great Expectations Comprehensive and demonstrable experience in programming languages such as: SQL Python Spark DAX C# Comprehensive and demonstrable experience in DevOps practices: CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferable) GIT and Version Control Terraform or Bicep development Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal – able to translate complex technical subject matter into easily understood presentations and written documentation for mixed technical audiences. Desirable: Real-time data experience MLOps / Machine Learning Engineering processes to support advanced analytical use cases Data modelling including Kimball Container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker Experience translating designs of Azure data solutions into action Working in a support environment Analysis/requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation of data platform and Azure technologies Experience in collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams, including software engineers, DevOps and infrastructure teams, data scientists etc. Additional Information Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
