Are you passionate about thinking big and joining a team who are looking to accelerate the growth of our organic and natural Brands – Clipper Teas, Kallo and Mrs Crimble’s in the UK, while also doing good? Ecotone is looking to recruit two National Account Managers (one for Asda: one for Morrisons) with the hunger to continue to build the growth momentum to meet our ambitions of double-digit growth.
As National Account Manager you will be responsible for leading, developing and delivering the growth and profitability in these accounts. You will be solely accountable for developing the retail partnerships that will deliver sustained success while working cross functionally with all the teams who will help you achieve our stretch goals.
Here are just some of the exciting responsibilities you will be accountable for:
- Account Planning & Account Development
- Lead and prioritise key development opportunities to maximise sales and profitability
- Execute strategies and activation to deliver double-digit growth
- Manage EDLP/High low asks (Asda specific), evaluate and present back to management team on recommendations/next steps.
- Build P&L scenarios for opportunities & risks.
- Successfully launch NPD
- Ensure greatest possible distribution
- Drive the agenda on the key growth brands
- Lead the business planning cycle and activate the key drivers of sales growth
- Liaising with the Category team using powerful insights to craft a narrative to engage, persuade and inspire
- Lead the joint business planning process and negotiate commercial terms with retail buyers
- Handles negotiations to realise growth opportunities
- Deliver Cost Price Increases throughout the year, on time, in full
- P&L management, control and delivery
- Ensures accurate volume and forecast accuracy following S&OP process: promotion, trade spend activity
- Develops customer relationships and understands customer strategy to align and be the respected partner of choice
- Understands customer operations and navigates successfully; using key levers of influence
- Develops recommendations/actions regarding accounts, using data from multiple sources (eg: Circana, Nielsen) identifying opportunities/risks
We’re looking for someone who has a minimum of 5+ years’ FMCG experience with an outstanding track record of success. It goes without saying that you will have strong analytical and financial acumen as well as:
- FMCG, blue-chip + small company experience
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence key stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of account management with a proven ability to build strong retailer relationships
- Effective communicator: building compelling retailer narratives to drive success
- Demonstrate strong project management skills
