Azure Data Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to support a data platform migration to Microsoft Fabric. This short-term contract is ideal for someone with strong SQL development skills and proven experience delivering cloud-based data solutions.

About the Role

This role involves leading the migration of an existing data platform to Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Migration of an existing data platform to Microsoft Fabric
• Build and optimise ETL pipelines using SQL and Spark
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across the migration
• Collaborate with internal teams to align technical delivery with business needs
• Provide technical input on Fabric’s architecture and capabilities

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure data tools
• Solid SQL development skills (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar)
• Experience with data platform migrations and pipeline modernisation
• Knowledge of Spark or Databricks (bonus if familiar with Python)
• Able to work independently and deliver to tight timelines
• Willingness to be on-site 1 day per week in Warrington
