FULL TIME ROLE: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.
We are in need of a FULL TIME Learning Support Assistant to join SEN schools in PLYMOUTH from September, 2025. This role is full time and it is DESIRABLE to have a UK driving license and own car. Due to the nature of these children at the school, it is ideal for applicants to have previous experience in UK SEN schools/alternative provisions/transferable skills working with behavioural needs.
Responsibilities:
- Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
- Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements:
- Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions.
- Applicants holding a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
- Demonstrated patience and empathy along with flexibility and adaptability.
