We are working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in Weybridge, currently seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with 6 to 12 months of post-graduate experience in a consultancy setting, looking to grow their career in a supportive and technically diverse environment.
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and senior team members to develop practical design solutions, contribute to structural assessments, and support project delivery from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the design and analysis of structural elements for new builds, refurbishments, and extensions.
- Work with senior engineers to prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
- Attend site visits to support inspections, surveys, and project reviews.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure coordinated project delivery.
- Contribute to maintaining high technical standards, quality assurance, and compliance with building regulations and design codes.
- Support the preparation of documentation for planning and construction phases.
- Degree or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 6-12 months' experience in a UK consultancy environment (internships or industrial placements considered).
- Familiarity with industry-standard design software such as Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD or similar.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
- Salary: £30,000
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
