A new exciting role for a Junior Manufacturing Technician has been created at one of Oxfordshire\’s most exciting companies, based in Abingdon (OX14).
Joining a small specialist manufacturing team the role offers fantastic opportunities for training, development and progression through the business with the chance to gain a broad range of skills across mechanical, electronic and electrical assembly, plus lasers and optics.
Initially the position will focus on making cable assemblies, so some experience of this would be helpful, and part of the extensive training program will then move onto mechanical assembly, electronics, soldering as well as working with optics, lasers and extremely fine intricate assemblies.
This role would suit someone with a couple of years manufacturing / assembly experience ideally with experience of either cable assemblies or soldering who is looking for their next career step where they can learn a whole host of new skills. They would also consider someone from a more mechanically biased role with the right sort of aptitude and attitude to pick up the other aspects of the job quickly.
