A respected entity in the insurance sector is seeking a professional Company Secretary to lead and enhance its governance framework. This position offers the opportunity to be at the heart of corporate decision making, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

This is a hybrid role, working 2/3 times per month in the office.

As Company Secretary, your responsibilities will include:

• Governance Leadership: Advising the Board and its Committees, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and promoting best practices in corporate governance.
• Board Facilitation: Organising and managing Board meetings, including agenda setting, minute taking, and ensuring effective communication between the Board and management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Staying abreast of legal and regulatory changes, ensuring timely filings with Companies House and other regulatory bodies.
• Statutory Record Maintenance: Maintaining and updating statutory registers, ensuring accurate records of directors, shareholders, and other key stakeholders.
• Strategic Collaboration: Working closely with senior leadership to align governance strategies with the company\’s overall objectives.

We’re looking for a Company Secretary with:

• Qualifications: A qualified solicitor with post-qualification experience, preferably within the financial services or insurance sectors.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in a Company Secretary role, with a deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks and legal compliance requirements.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all organizational levels.
• Attributes: A proactive and strategic thinker, capable of navigating complex legal issues and contributing to the company\’s long-term success.
