We’re looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the delivery of high-profile contracts across the Yorkshire region, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest client and Vital Energi standards.
This is a key leadership role where you will oversee a team of Contracts Managers, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. High involvement in the development of client relationships, liaison with sub-contractors and suppliers of materials or services to Vital Energi.
You will play a central part in shaping project outcomes, building strong client relationships, and driving innovation in installation methods and technologies.
Vital Energi is a leading provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors. We support Hospitals, Universities, New Build Developments, Towns & Cities, as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to reduce their carbon emissions and improve the efficiency of their buildings. We are doing this by enabling the UK’s Net Zero targets.
- Attend pre-contract meetings in conjunction with senior commercial staff.
- Understand the contract and client requirements for performance and delivery of the projects.
- Ensure all Contracts Managers are managing Vital Energi’s QA procedures and that they are being followed, projects are defect free and successfully completed.
- Ensure all those beneath them are producing health and safety plans and managing all H&S aspects across all sites to a high standard.
- Input into selected and securing labour and sub-contractors for all projects across the UK.
- Review systems and methods when required to improve contract performance internally and ensure those beneath them are implementing these methods.
- Undertake reviews with all members of staff within this unit.
- Promote and comply with the Company’s policies on equality and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
- Input into both secured and unsecured trading forecast for current year and future years.
- Partake in unit commercial monthly reviews to ensure costs across all projects can be managed and acted upon when needed by implementing measures to those under their control.
Several years’ experience as a Contracts Manager controlling a large value project or a number of lesser projects at one time. Experience of undertaking projects as the Principal Contractor & Principal Designer.
