Reed is partnering with a local school/trust who are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their team. This role involves ensuring excellent financial administration support and accurate recording of financial data in accordance with their Trust’s policies and procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:

Assist the CFO and Finance Manager in processing school trust invoices and orders at a volume of 200-350 a week.

Support the management and operation of the Trust’s computerised and manual accounting systems.

Ensure end-of-year procedures comply with Trust and ESFA requirements.

Provide management information to Budget Holders, the CFO, or the Board of Directors as needed.

Manage, maintain, and operate voluntary fund accounts, school journey accounts, and assist with the Trust’s Gift Aid procedures.

Develop, manage, and maintain an online system for receiving income from parents.

Provide administrative support for letting agreements and manage IR35 payments.

AAT part or fully qualified, degree in finance or related field preferred but not required.

Proficient in Excel, with the ability to use formulas and common functions.

Knowledge of Access Finance (HCSS) processing system preferred but not required.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written, suitable for various audiences.

Experience in an educational setting and familiarity with Multi-Academy Trusts are preferred but not required.

Enhanced DBS check due to the schooling environment.
