Opportunity to join an organisation covering a broad range of categories supplied into the food industry. As Head of Procurement you will support the Procurement Director to drive culture change across the team, support development initiatives and implement best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee strategy for core products and management of suppliers
- Identify costs saving opportunities
- Negotiate contract terms taking a lead role within the team where required
- Manage and lead category reviews
- Recommend approach to increase income generation or reduction in expenditure
- Team development
- Monitor and control department budget
- Set KPIs and OKRs with ongoing reviews for direct reports
