Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

This is a key role within the Service department, supporting customers and field based Servicing engineers across an area of the country, arranging visits to customer sites to service any current machines. This role is office based in the Service Department.

This challenging role will need a good level of organisation skills, good telephone manner, invoicing of completed engineers work, sending jobs to engineers, discussing faults and expectations of the job, given to engineers and customers. The successful candidate will be expected to use this opportunity to build on their machine tool knowledge and become a key member of the Co-ordination team within the UK Service department.

The Person:

  • It is essential that the ideal candidate has a positive, can do attitude, with the ability to think outside of the box, hardworking, who can work alone or as part of a team and is flexible to meet the challenges / targets set within the team.
  • There will be times when they have to use their own drive, initiative and experience to think around problems encountered and support the needs of the engineer in the field at customers premises and expectations and support other areas of co-ordination when colleagues are on holiday / away.
  • Able to communicate at manager / director level.
  • Knowledge of machine build process and structure.
  • Computer literate, scheduling and incident manager.
  • Understanding of planning of work within the given area.
  • Able to supply both customer and engineer requirements and expectations.
  • Experience in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PC literate.
  • Comfortable with telephone conversations and communication.
  • Has an understanding of written reports with technical content.

  • Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm with additional overtime when required and weekends when required.
  • Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
