Join ITV as a Group Financial Accountant (Maternity cover) in Group Finance on a Fixed Term Contract (12 months). Your work matters to millions, shaping culture and being part of a fun working environment with opportunities to learn and grow.
The role involves covering maternity leave within the Group Consolidation team, responsible for preparing the Group's monthly consolidation, ensuring financial transparency and compliance with reporting standards. The Group Financial Accountant will support the monthly reporting process and be pivotal in both year-end and interim reporting. Collaboration with various stakeholders across our global business will be a core aspect of this role.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Monthly reporting: Helps prepare the FCCS Group Consolidation and supporting schedules, preparation of the cash flow statement, assists in the preparation of the monthly consolidation reporting pack including balance sheet analytical commentary.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Responsible for timely preparation of forecasts, budgets, and 5-year plans for relevant areas.
- Technical Accounting: Responsible for the share-based payment calculation, involved in acquisition accounting together with the Group Reporting team, assists in providing technical accounting support and training.
- Interim and Year-end reporting: Responsible for the preparation of relevant note disclosures, liaise with the Group’s auditors on areas of responsibility.
- Engagement: Manage relationships with ITV subsidiaries globally, oversee the training needs of new finance team members in FCCS, maintain good working relationships with all accounting teams across the ITV Group including Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Group FP&A.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria):
- Must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
- Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

- Works effectively in a team setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Previous experience with a consolidation system and/or familiarity with Alteryx is advantageous.
