Role description:
We’re looking to grow our small Pharma focused team with a talented mid-weight designer bursting with strong graphic and motion design skills. You will work across a range of predominately social media projects — from static social posts to scroll stopping videos. At Substance, you’ll collaborate with a passionate, friendly team and have room to grow, flex your creativity, and work on everything from sub-branding, campaigns to social content. With this role you’ll hone your design skills and be on the pathway to becoming a Senior Designer.
What you’ll do:
- Design standout social content - on brand - for our clients: bringing a good eye for typography, design, pacing and composition.
- Briefs are fairly open, with room for you to bring good creative ideas to projects.
- Bigger projects would require you to storyboard before bringing to life.
- Present your work with confidence and respond thoughtfully to feedback.
- Simplify complex messages through smart, compelling designs.
- Collaborate with copywriters, producers, and account teams.
- Stay on top of social trends, AI trends, Design and branding trends and bring fresh, creative ideas to the table.
Core expertise:
- Core software: After Effects and Illustrator (or Figma if you prefer).
- Secondary Software: Premiere Pro (light video editing), Photoshop (mostly for editing photos), Google Slides, Audition (for light audio editing).
- 3D skills would be welcomed (or ability to learn it), we use Blender.
- Solid Motion skills, good sense of easing, pacing, and technical ability.
- Solid Design skills: typography, composition, layout, hierarchy, harmony and balance.
- An understanding of marketing and clients needs in social media communications.
