We have over 175 employees that we are proud to have represent us, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow. As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our renewables team by recruiting an experienced consulting engineer, who has prior experience in commercial battery storage or solar power projects, to be based in our Glasgow office.
We are looking for:
- a good electrical, mechanical or renewables based degree.
- previous experience of using industry standard software (PV Sys, PV Case, PV Sol) to make solar resource and energy yield assessments.
- Have produced feasibility studies and design reviews in a previous role.
- good project management experience gained during the development, construction or operational phases of large-scale ground mount solar projects.
- experience in the financing of renewable energy projects, ideally including technical due diligence exposure.
- good understanding of the key technical risks with solar projects, including the ability to identify potential technical design or installation risks.
- knowledge of standard forms of contract and their applicability to the construction and renewable energy project sector.
- the ability to correctly interpret electrical drawings, models, specifications and functional descriptions.
- prior experience with the preparation of high-quality technical reports and models for clients.
- able and willing to travel in the UK and EU for client meetings, site visits, factory tests, etc.
- Able to work in the UK without any visa restrictions.
