Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in this fast-paced environment. The role is varied and enjoyable where you can expect to be challenged, be supported and help continuously improve machinery. Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working a continental shift pattern of 4 days 6am till 6pm and 6pm to 6am
• Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery
• Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.

Requirements:

• Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered
• Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery
• Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc
• Motivated and driven to succeed
• Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company
