The KPMG software licensing function is a cornerstone of our business. Operating from London, we do work that matters, serving the country with diligence and expertise.

KPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies. We have supported the UK through times of war and peace, prosperity and recession, political and regulatory upheaval. We have proudly stood beside the institutions and businesses which make the UK what it is.

By encompassing a wide range of disciplines across a breadth of areas such as Customer Experience and Digital, Strategy, Forensic, Risk and Regulatory, People and Talent, and Operational and Financial Transformation, we become immersed in our clients' organisations, applying sector knowledge and technology solutions to deliver the best possible outcomes and get it right first time.

You will work in a virtual and matrix environment to ensure project delivery is executed to the highest standards and risks and issues are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated. This will entail working on multiple concurrent and complex projects at any one time.

Your main alignment will be within KPMG UK’s ITAM/SAM team, a part of our ‘Contract Performance & Insight’ department.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage the team on a day-to-day basis to deliver agreed scope/services on time, on budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Process and review of software license entitlement and contracts.
  • Analysis of software installation and consumption data.
  • Reporting of commercial risk or cost saving opportunities.
  • Business Development - Increase business with existing clients, contribute to responses to RFPs, contribute to the development of new propositions and bringing them to market.

What will you need to do it?

  • Demonstrable experience in IT asset management, showing clear proficiency over software licensing (all aspects of contractual, technical, and commercial activities), alongside strong understanding of software, technology, and related controls.
  • Domain specific licensing knowledge relating to at least one of SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, & IBM, with clear understanding of on premises and subscription type software licensing.
  • Commercial awareness and experience of taking software asset management services to market.
  • Experience of managing and coaching junior team members.
  • Ability to research, digest information and present to peers and client stakeholders.

We are open to talk to software licensing talent across the country but our core hubs for this role are: London Canary Wharf.
