This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and passionate solicitor to take on a varied caseload, represent clients at police stations and in court, and play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services. Crime Solicitor Key Responsibilities: • Represent clients at police stations, magistrates’ courts, and Crown Courts. • Manage a full and varied caseload of criminal matters from start to finish. • Participate in the duty solicitor rota. • Advise clients on all aspects of criminal law including interviews under caution, bail applications, and trial preparation. • Liaise with external agencies including the CPS, police, and counsel. • Ensure accurate file management, time recording, and compliance with the Legal Aid Agency requirements. Requirements of the Crime Solicitor: • A minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Criminal Law. • Police Station Accreditation and Duty Solicitor status essential. • Strong advocacy and client care skills. • Ability to handle a busy and varied workload independently. • A proactive and organised approach with excellent attention to detail. • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle preferred.
