This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Worker to join our team here in South Hetton. As our Housing and Property expert, you'll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts.

Typical day as a Housing Management Worker:

  • You would be working with our customers within an over 55 scheme & will undertake daily welfare calls.
  • Making sure that our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, you'll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
  • Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
  • To support the next customers who need our help and for maximum occupancy, you'll turn around void properties within set timescales. This may involve picking up a broom or paint brush!
  • As well as working alongside our maintenance colleagues.
  • You'll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we're compliant.
  • You'll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

  • A background in property management, but that's not a deal breaker!
  • Perhaps you've worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?

Job details:

  • We'd expect you to work 5 mornings a week Mon-Fri but are flexible around start and finish times.
  • Based at our service in South Hetton, you will be predominately based here but there may be odd occasions where travel may be needed, to attend team meetings, undertake home visits or to support at a Local scheme.
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating customer files, making benefit claims and doing tenancy sign-ups.
  • To get from A to B, you'll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we'll pay your mileage!
  • You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
