A specialist consultancy is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to join a key client engagement on a contract basis. This role involves shaping and overseeing cloud security strategy, architecture, and governance across complex cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce cloud security architecture and standards
- Lead security design reviews and threat modelling for cloud-based applications
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure secure cloud deployments
- Review and improve identity and access management, encryption, and logging strategies
- Advise stakeholders on cloud risk, compliance, and remediation actions
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in cloud security architecture (AWS and/or Azure)
- Deep understanding of security best practices, cloud-native tooling, and automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline security and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, etc.)
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
