Loan Operations Specialist

We're partnering with a leading global asset manager to find a Loan Operations specialist to join their London based Loan Operations team.

As a Loan Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the full lifecycle of syndicated loan activity. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth settlement of loan trades and accurate processing of complex events, contributing to the firm’s wider operational efficiency and control framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately capture and process events such as rollovers, paydowns, drawdowns, and interest payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all loan settlement activity.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between agent notices and internal records, including reconciling custody and agent cash postings.
• Operate within an established operational risk framework, while identifying opportunities for control enhancements.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure straight-through processing (STP) is maintained, and new initiatives are effectively tested and implemented.

To be considered prior experience in loan operations, syndicated loans, or a similar financial operations role is a must. The business are looking to move fast so candidates need to be on no more than a months’ notice period and must have a minimum of two years’ experience at an investment bank, administrator or on the buyside. The company has a 4/1 hybrid working policy.
