Harvey Nash are pleased to have partnered with a long standing client in the automotive industry. They are looking for a Lead Underwriter to manage a team. This role involves driving strategic underwriting decisions, optimising risk assessment, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of technical underwriters and data analysts, fostering a high-performance environment.
- Underwriting Oversight: Oversee the underwriting process, review complex cases, and develop strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Performance Analytics: Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimise risk assessment.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with data analysts to refine underwriting models and improve outcomes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and claims departments to align with business goals.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Strong underwriting experience in a leadership role.
- Proficiency with data tools e.g (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau).
- Professional underwriting qualification (e.g. ACII) preferred.
