About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional AV Technician to join our on-site team, delivering exceptional audiovisual services at two of London’s most prestigious 5-star hotels.

In this customer-facing role, you’ll be responsible for the seamless setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment across a wide variety of events. This is a hands-on position where your technical knowledge, hospitality mindset, and attention to detail will ensure every event meets luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities

AV & Technical Duties

  • Set up and operate AV equipment daily at hotel venues.
  • Carry the duty technician DECT phone and respond promptly to calls.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly prepared, delivered, installed, and derigged.
  • Maintain clean, organised sales desks and storage rooms.
  • Track and manage stock levels of consumables and equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs, or arrange third-party servicing as needed.
  • Support with cross-hiring and transport of equipment, including loading/unloading vehicles.
  • Accurately handle event admin, inventory reporting, and kit security.

Customer Service

  • Always present a professional and polished appearance.
  • Deliver outstanding 5-star service to hotel staff, clients, and event guests.
  • Build strong working relationships with hotel partners and clients.
  • Proactively greet clients before meetings, ensure satisfaction with AV setup, and provide training on basic equipment use.
  • Represent our company with a “can-do” attitude and solutions-first approach.

Sales & Revenue Support

  • Actively upsell AV services where appropriate.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and production briefings in the absence of account managers.
  • Communicate any onsite equipment changes or additions to sales teams for prompt action.
  • Support basic quote generation and billing using RentalWorks when required.

About You

Skills & Attributes

  • Technically proficient in AV equipment (audio, video, projection, lighting).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organised with strong time management and prioritisation.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to solving problems.
  • High level of professionalism and a team player attitude.
  • Physically able to lift/move equipment up to 25kg and comfortable with active, on-your-feet work.

Experience

  • Previous AV experience in hospitality, live events, or corporate environments.
  • Experience in 4- or 5-star hotels or luxury venues is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with RentalWorks or similar AV inventory systems is desirable.

Flexibility

  • Willing and able to work varied shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights.
