From our matcha bars across London and award-winning ceremonial grade matcha products, to our innovative collaborations, everything we do is built on craft, creativity, and community. As we grow, we’re looking for people who share our ambition, energy, and care for the details to help bring the JENKI world to life in fresh, exciting ways.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Marketing Activations Manager with strong cultural intuition, a creative point of view, and the operational rigour to match. This role is central to how JENKI shows up; whether it’s a new bar launch, a press moment, or an unexpected collaboration. You’ll lead JENKI’s approach to earned media, brand-building events, and strategic partnerships, helping us tell our story. You’ll also play a key role in filtering inbound requests and paid event opportunities, ensuring every activation, whether big or small, aligns with our values and contributes to long-term brand equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Events (35%)
- Develop and deliver an annual events strategy, aligned to brand and marketing goals.
- Own the concepting, planning, and execution of key events, including store launches, previews, community moments, and campaign activations.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external creatives, talent, and suppliers.
- Manage event budgets and reporting, ensuring strong ROI and brand impact.
- Manage timelines and event logistics from start to finish.
- Ensure events are not just well-run but deeply on-brand.
- Partnerships & Inbound Requests (35%)
- Own the approach to inbound brand/event partnerships, weighing commercial value against brand equity.
- Identify new opportunities to collaborate with aligned partners and tastemakers.
- Build a framework for evaluating and scaling event/brand collabs.
- Be a filter and a curator: protect the brand while seeking fresh, exciting ways to express it.
- PR (30%)
- Define and lead the PR strategy to support JENKI’s growth and profile across openings, campaigns, and product launches.
- Build and manage relationships with editors, stylists, writers, and publicists.
- Craft culturally relevant, brand-aligned press materials and angles.
- Handle outreach directly or manage freelance/agency support.
- Track and report on PR performance.
Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in PR, events, partnerships or brand strategy - ideally within food, wellness, fashion, or culture.
- You’ve led end-to-end projects with strategic oversight, not just execution.
- Comfortable owning and managing budgets, timelines, and supplier relationships.
- A sharp cultural radar - you know what feels relevant, and what doesn’t.
- Brilliant at building relationships across media, influencers, and brand partners.
- Strong communication skills - you write well, speak clearly, and present ideas with confidence.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
- A team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves but can also zoom out and think big.
- A natural brand builder - you get the nuance of what makes something feel “on-brand.”
