This role (based out of US, UK and EU) is responsible for growing our business through "hunting new logos" and originating new deals.
Responsibilities- Deal Origination: Responsible for opening business with new clients across various industries.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to shape business development strategies and approaches.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities that align to the organization's strategic focus.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with Business Units, Data-Tech-AI Function and Commercial/ Pricing teams to craft compelling proposals that effectively communicate the value of our services to potential clients.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached. Close deals in a timely manner while meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Sales Management: Maintain accurate records of all business development activities, including pipeline updates, client interactions, and sales performance metrics. Provide regular reports to senior management.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums. Contribute to thought leadership by staying informed about industry trends and sharing insights with clients and colleagues.
- Relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the professional services industry. Experience with consulting firms or professional services selling managed services is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in doing a hunting role is a must have (may be relevant industry/adjacent industry).
- Proven experience leading and closing end-to-end deals of $5M Total Contract Value or larger.
- Understanding of the professional services landscape focused on Finance & Accounting, Supply chain and Insurance, including market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to use tech tools / digitally savvy.
- Proficiency and familiarity with technology tools, platforms, and systems and understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts, applications, and technologies relevant to the individual's industry and domain.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
- Ability to be self-starter and work independently and as part of a team by promoting collaboration and building an internal network.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Exhibits speed to outcome and consistently achieves results.
- Work with advisors and Partners to cultivate channel/advisory relationships.
- Has an appetite to learn / understand Genpact Sales framework/ways of working (through Genpact’s mandatory Sales training & certification process) and a willingness to share best practices with colleagues to yield better outcomes.
