Twelve-month contract

Location: Peterborough OR Stafford

Fully onsite role. £43.48 / hr umbrella

The successful candidate will primarily be providing level 2/3 Network helpdesk support to EAME based facilities, including factories, offices, and warehouses.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience of Cisco network technologies
  • Cisco CCNA qualification (required)
  • Any CISCO qualification above CCNA will be a significant plus

There is an expectation that some out-of-hours work will be required, so flexibility will be expected, joining the on-call rotation for 1 week every 2 months.

Key responsibilities include:

  • IOS upgrade
  • WLC controller configuration
  • Cisco Router and Switch configuration
  • Configure and maintain CISCO 3850, 9300 and 9500
  • Knowledge of 9800 controllers
  • Familiarity with firewall designs
  • Understanding of related technologies (DNS, DHCP etc.)
  • Fault finding skills
  • Good documentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of ticketing software (Service Now / Remedy / Peregrine)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Putty, and other network tools
