- Salary: Β£30,000 β Β£45,000 per annum depending on experience plus excellent all round company benefits. 23 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays β holiday entitlement increases with length of service. - Hours: Monday to Thursday, 09:00 -17:00 and 09:00 β 16:00 on Fridays. Role is mainly office based

This role is available due to strong company growth levels and continued expansion and will be based in the offices in Bury (Greater Manchester M66 J2).
The role β Sprinkler Design Engineer
My client is the UKβs class-leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems.
They design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. They currently have over 200 employees and have offices throughout the UK.
Duties will include:
- Ensure designs are produced to a high quality, are compliant with the relevant standards and meet necessary time-scales, while maintaining a professional relationship with clients, team members and sub-contractors.
- Production and design responsibility of fire protection sprinkler system installation drawings and coordination models.
- Production of hydraulic calculations.
- On-site surveying, where necessary.
- Attend coordination meetings within the task team.
- Carry out checks to ensure designs are compliant to the relevant standards and project specifications.
- Mentor junior members of the design department.
Experience, competencies and knowledge required:
- Strong experience in the design of fire protection sprinkler systems.
- Experienced in producing technical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit sheets.
- Experience in the production of hydraulic calculations using the CanuteFHC design software.
Qualifications required:
- Knowledge of LPC Sprinkler rules.
- Minimum of LCPB Basic Design Qualification (not essential, training can be provided).
- LPCB Intermediate and FHC Design Qualifications would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of FM and NFPA standards would be advantageous.
